About Birdrangers

Picture of Arboretum.Birdrangers is a small family business operated by Monica & Simon Clayton. We're birders, as well as tourism and wildlife specialists, based at Gibraltar Reserve in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Australia, one of the most biodiverse parts of Australia.

Simon (Diploma, Conservation & Land Management) has over 25 years birding & field study experience in Australia, UK, and Europe, various parts of Asia, the South Pacific Islands & Ocean, Cuba & New Zealand. He's qualified as a licensed bird-bander and is an independent environmental consultant. 

Monica (Bachelor of Business, Cert. Advanced Tour Operations/Tour Guiding & E-Marketing) has over 15 years experience in the travel & tourism industry and has worked in North America, and travelled in the South Pacific Islands, Europe, Asia and New Zealand, experiencing nature-based tourism.

In 2003 they purchased high conservation value land, and established it as a Wildlife Refuge for conservation, sustainable tourism, research and production. In 2017 Gibraltar Reserve Cabin was built.
